Qualitative study on what is a good death in Catalonia (2022):

What is considered a good death? What are its key elements?
What are the barriers and facilitators to achieving a good death?


The aim of this study was to find out what people think about these issues, as well as to reflect on the needs not covered by the Catalan health system in order to achieve a good death. This report gathers the insights from twenty-three ethnographic interviews with patients and relatives, as well as three discussion groups with thirty-one professionals and representatives of associations of patients and relatives linked to end-of-life care.
